We had some of our Sharks representing our club at the YJFL Representative Carnival over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.
Sam Nehme, Zane Harrington & Tommy Horton made the U13 Yarra squad. Sam & Zane were in the 1s and Tommy was in the 2s. Sam was captain, kicked 2 goals and was named in the best players. In Division 1, YJFL beat SMJFL by 1 point. Last year SMJFL beat YJFL by 90 points so it was a great turn around. In Division 2, YJFL won one game by 1 point and lost one game by 1 point. Great effort by these boys and we congratulate them on their selection.
Some of our girls were also selected to represent the YJFL. Margie Saunders (div.1), and Scartlett Anderson, Charlotte Dossetto and Rosie Dodds (all Div.2) did a fabulous job in representing our Club. Congratulations to Margie Saunders (No. 12) who is playing in the YJFL Grand final this Saturday 24th June at Vermont Reserve (Corner Terrara Road & Canterbury Road, Vermont) at 10.00am. If you get a chance, get along and support the girls.
